Based in Melbourne, actress Mavournee Hazel knows that when it comes to winter styling, layering is key. Part of the upcoming generation of Australian actors and actresses, her distinct eye for style sets her apart. Here, as part of our collaboration with Street Smith, she shows off one of her favourite looks, heroing our much-loved wrap parka.

"By adding or taking off a few layers, you can create so many different looks and reinvent old ones. I feel like you can’t go wrong with layers, the more contrasting the texture and lengths, the better."

Layering means you aren’t restricted to a seasonal wardrobe, and all your pieces become interchangeable. If you like it, it goes. It’s funny, my favourite layering piece is a Country Road black long-sleeve turtle neck, which I’ve had since I was 16 - it’s timeless, and lends itself to any silhouette."

"I love the aesthetic of layers, and how each person's individual style can be expressed so eclectically. I love layering hoodies with a blazer or puffer, and a beanie, ripped jeans and boots. I live in Melbourne, so layers are essential, what with our famous seasonal unpredictability."
